Identity and Belief in the Neopagan Community

Abstract

The purpose of this survey was to explore the relationship between individuals' beliefs and practices and their self-identified group membership within the context of the Neopagan Community. The survey supports the conclusion that the beliefs attributed to the community by the texts are those held by the community in general. One of the most troublesome traits of the community is a resistance to identifying oneself as a member.
