West End of London
Well the West End has something for everyone, there are the night clubs, restaurants, shopping and also some very famous squares. There is Leicester Square which is has a few cinemas, even the film premiers are held here ( so you may be in town at the same time as the celebrities). And then there is Trafalgar Square, where the famous Nelson Column is situated and also a large fountain in the middle, surrounded by four Bronze Lions. Around these two squares you will find Soho, which is the centre of the gay community and red light district, but it has a large amount of bars and restaurants, and is a colourful place to go to. And just near Leicester Square is China Town, which is full of many wonderful restaurants and shops. Piccadilly Circus is a place to visit, in the centre is a statue of Eros (The Greek god of love), also known as Cupid. There are also plenty of theatres in the West End where with a meal and a drink, would make a very enjoyable evening. Shopping in the West End can be an experience there are hundreds of shops, including some very famous one's, there is Hamleys the famous toy store and a little corner shop called Harrods.
