The masks used for our production were crafted by each individual performer.  Each person molded unique characteristics into his or her mask.  The masks were pre-set on stage in a pool of light before the performance began.  The actors would enter and form a circle around the masks to start the performance.

The masks were constructed using aluminum foil as a base and covered with many layers of masking tape.  The masks were then painted by the actors using acrylic paints.  Here, chorus members Skippy Johnson (left) and Camille Y. Golden (right) begin the process of painting their masks.
