Early in the play, Ismene warns her sister Antigonenot to oppose Creon. She recalls the dreaded history of her family:  their father's self-blinding, their mother's suicide by hanging, and their brothers' dual murder. As Ismene describes the past, images from the prologue are re-enacted, illustrating each memory recalled by the sisters...
