Sidney M. Cohen has developed, produced and directed numerous television programs and series, for a variety of broadcast organizations ranging from the traditional network style to the specialty niche stations. Cohen's TV credits extend over 25 years and he brings experience, style, leadership, dedication, quality, strong ratings and finesse to every production or company he works with.
Cohen has produced and directed thousands of program episodes of various series types, many live, including variety, music, lifestyle, news and news magazines, reality shows, infomercials, corporate, game shows, location shoots for gardening, cruising/travel and countless interviews. He also directed election nights, political conventions, sports awards shows and the 1992 Olympics from Barcelona.
In broadcast TV, Cohen was executive producer and director of "Canada AM" (a network morning news magazine) bringing coverage of outstanding entertainment and news events live each day. He was Executive Producer, New Program Development for the CTV network, creating new series and business opportunities. Cohen has also directed numerous programs for the CBC network and has trained directors for CBC and TVO. Recent projects include a revival of "Thrill of a Lifetime" telecast internationally and the initial 13 episodes of "Porthole TV" for international syndication. Sidney hosts many of the shows. New episodes of PORTHOLE are currently in development.
