Kings

The following lists of kings of the Anglo-Saxon kingdoms are mostly just that - lists. I considered doing them all as family trees, but found that it was not feasible for all kingdoms. Where I do have enough information for a tree, both the list and a chart are available. When this is the case, you will notice differences between the lists and charts. This is because of knowledge that is incomplete, meaning I have been unable to place some kings on a given chart. I have also included those members of the dynasties who are legendary. Also note that when kings' periods of rule overlap, they may be thought to co-rule during that time (this was not uncommon).

Where dates are given they represent the term of kingship, not the total life of the king in question.
