Mark Feldman's Home Page

You are visitor number:

As many of you know, this was the official site for the PCGPE and Win95GPE. It's been 3 years since I last updated this page, so I think it's time to move on and officially lay the project to rest.

I very much wanted to release a new, updated version of the PCGPE for Windows. I came close on several occasions, but each time something thwarted my efforts (e.g. starting a new job, rapid advancements in technology making articles obsolete, etc). Between work, friends, my family and partner, life simply got too darn busy to give the project the kind of attention it needed to get it out the door.

I'll keep the articles I wrote on this site for anyone interested in still reading them. Feel free to mirror them on your own pages with the appropriate credit if you like.

Originally designed for the 300 or so rec.games.programmer subscribers at the time, the PCGPE quickly became a very popular resource, with several hundred thousand downloads from Oulu last time I checked. It launched my own career into the game industry, and for that I am eternally grateful to everyone that participated in it. I hope you're all having the exciting and fullfilling careers you deserve. And to the next generation of game programmers coming right behind us, I wish you the best of luck, and hope you're keeping alive the same spirit of learning and the sharing of knowledge that was the motivation behind the PCGPE.

All the best,

Mark Feldman (pcgpe@oocities.com)

The original Win95GPE page is still stored here, and my resume is here.
