I went through a brief(?) obsessions over these things. I'm over it now!
The Tam Cam is officially closed. It was active from about May 1997 to November 1997. It got millions of web hits, and still gets visited by some diehard fans even though it hasn't been updated since then. As of November 2001 it still gets over 200 hits a month, much to my surprise. It doesn't take much space, it won some awards, and so I keep it around on this site. Have a look at some of the more popular pictures that have been there in the past, and all of the records of the previous Tams remain for anyone who is interested.
My favorite Tamagotchi web site, Tamagotchi Fever ! also closed down. :-(
