Review:

The Classical Espionage Game!

While some games for MSX are good or even perfect in your game play and value, only a few are nearly perfect on all classifications. Metal Gear is one of this second group. The game is simply perfect at almost all points of view... The only drawback is the savegame. The only way to save a game is using a crapy "Cassete Save" option, which is a lot of trouble for anyone that wants to play this game. You have some choices: 1) You buy a Konami GameMaster2 cartridge, wich will allow you to save to a disk. 2) You buy a MegaRam and use ExecRom to load the game on the MegaRam and the GameMaster2 into the Memory Mapper. 3) Use BrMSX or any other worst MSX emulator with save state option (very few at this moment). If you do not want any of these options, so you'll be in trouble, mainly if you are a lucky TurboR or CIEL2+ owner, because these computers haven't even hardware support for Cassete. With other computers, you always can connect a cassete player on your MSX and save... But I advise you: it's boring and always you will get errors. The game history is very complex and have lots of intrincate situations. This game is really worth of playing.
