Introduction
Emoticons (or smileys) is a sideways face made up of certain types of letters, or symbols, to express emotions, or to shorten a phrase. For example to make smily face you need to type"SHIFT" key with the" ; KEY" , and press the "SHIFT"key with the " 9 KEY " to make :) . It's so easy!!!

They are just the same !!! No matter what is called, it does the same thing.

Midgets
A shorter way to type smileys is to
make midget smileys. They are smileys without a dash (or nose).

Horizontal Similes/Emoticon
Recently a new style of emoticon (smiley) has come afloat. The smiley in a natural position, horizontal. The basic design is simlar to its vertical counterpart , two eyes and a mouth. But there is some differences. There is one eye for each side of the mouth, you cant use the semi-colons, and the mouth will be always flat (there may be a few exceptions, if any).
Why does the mouth has to be flat? Well the main purpose of horizontal similes/emoticons is to express eye emotion. Thats right, you can have any thing for eyes, but one flat mouth. Thats ok though, because you have more expressions next time youre with a friend.
