Boot disks used to test PCs.

The disks I use to test PC's are a set customised from the standard (R12.3.100 base) SG B25BOOT and B25CBD.

The customised/updated files are:

B25BOOT
installvdm.run        s4.3.153
ps_v.sys              s1.3.53
SysImage.sys          vStnd s1.3.53
vdm_StdVga.run        s4.3.153
Vdm_Vga.run           s4.3.153
Vdm_VgaWei.run        s4.3.153

Note(s): s1.3.53 is required for IDE hard disks >504 MB.
s4.3.153 allows booting of the S3 Trio video cards.

B25CBD
Command.user.
Exec.run              s12.3.127
ExecMsg.bin
ExecMsg.mtxt
FormatDisk.run        s12.3.151
LookVhb.Run
Sys.cmds

Notes(s): Command.user is a .user file which gives you a command line.
LookVhb.Run is a utility which allows display of the VHB password.
Sys.cmds has been modified to include the "Disk Partition" commands.

DISK3
<restore> directory
config.sys
InstallSeqService.Run s12.3.103
NGenSeqService.run    s12.3.154
PertecSeqService.run  s12.3.104
RestoreArchive.run    R12.3.100
SeqAccessCopy.run     R12.3.100
SeqAccessUtility.run  R12.3.100
SeqServiceMsg.bin
SrpSeqService.run     s12.3.103

<Sys> directory
BadBlk.sys
BootRecord.sys
CrashDump.sys
Fileheaders.sys
Log.sys
Mfd.sys
SysImage.sys

Note:    DISK3 as you might guess, is used to recover a file server from tape.
DISK3 is not a standard disk.
After formatting the hard disk, you could copy the files from <restore> directory.
This will allow you access to the tape service, which allows you to restore.
