FREE RAIN

Freely blow the winds of change
softly pour the falling rain
neatly stack the evening tide
and watch her life slipping by.

Upon the sky a grey-blue cast,
a deep breath wishful of a sigh - her last.
A finger carves the golden sand,
trembling form pictures beneath her hand.

Salt water melts the picture drawn;
In an instant the beautiful image gone.
Outstretch her body to melt away
under the tides crashing waves.

Salty tears or salty waves
beg pardon on her face,
"take me far from here to
join the sky's unfearing race."

Clap of thunder heard nearby.
Streak of lightning sears the sky.
Straight to her heart, life it gives -
no longer on this earth she lives.

A soul in happy thunder laughs.
A heart beats in a lightning crash.
Pour happy tears every time it rains
for the prayer answered here today.
