GOD'S GOLDEN ANGEL
in loving memory of Misty Jo Holley
June 12, 1981 - December 31, 1998

Sad hearts and heavy heads
carry burdens here today,
and hearts search for a reason why
God must have his way.

I'll tell you of a dream I had
in the deepest of my slumber,
that caused my heart to be still
and my thoughts to wander.

I saw God looking down
on his precious child,
hands outstretched with open arms
and love in his smile.

"You're work here is done," He said,
"You've served me well my child.
Come back home to me;
It's time to end your trials."

Looking back at what she'd leave behind
she said, "But I've had so little time."

"My dear child," He said,
"I know it's hard to understand,
so allow me to compare this life
to a gloved hand.

Your body is the glove
to do the dirty task,
your hand the soul that guides it
as long as it will last.

It's time to free your soul,
and come back home to stay.
You're family will be along
when their glove gives away.

Until that time you'll
watch them by my side,
and together, through their trials,
we will help them to survive.

Right beside me, here in heaven,
happy and without pain,
you will be my golden angel
as you were on Earth, the same.
