Seductive in its gentle way
till faster when it moves.

Pitter, patter, faster, faster
chorus as it builds.
Hypnotizing as it seems
sends a shuddering chill.

A thousand cries at once
with every raindrop fall
Ominous emotion does it send;
Overpowering is its call.

Whether sad & slow her
tears fall from the sky,
or angry thunder raging
shouts her battle cry.

Whether rhythmic seductive drops
unburden heavy heads
or all of these combined
raise us from our beds.

Pay homage to the skies;
nature's emotion is unleashed
and shows a piece of home
while her sacred secret keeps.
