Years apart and worlds away
I think I found an angel.
She brought a smile and brightened my day.
I know she was angel.
How could it be that with a word
My heart she made it flutter
To my amazement, I was able to speak
without a single stutter.
Two common souls passed one morn
A smile and verse they shared
Her sweet words did echo softly
and within my mind dance there.
And for a brief, fleeting moment, we transcended time.
And as she turned to walk away
A smile did cross my mind
I know she was an angel
no doubt sent from above.
For only an angel could understand
true verses about love.

Listen closely for your heartbeat and you will find that you have two
One that is familiar and one that seems quite new.
In truth they both have been there, just one you did not know
For it was lying dormant, awaiting its mortal half to show.
Then with the push of a button and a changing of a name
Two lives that seem quite empty found remission from the pain.
Emptiness soon parted and the darkness gained new light
Dreams that seemed lost long ago return to grace the night.
The wishes long ago silenced quickly came back into play
and clouds that stole the sunlight soon retreated from the day.
There before you stood someone new yet someone not unknown
It seemed as if a long lost friend had finally found his way home.
The heartbeat soon grew stronger and lost hopes regained new life.
What once seemed dull and empty was now alive and bright.
This story is still being written, the end is yet unseen
So with you I'll leave a final phrase another chapter to this dream
In time I hope our friendship will grow by leaps and bounds
and give us both a happiness often never found.

The ocean breeze; blew through my hair as I sat upon the land.
I gazed across the clear blue waters; as sand slipped through my hand.
In my mind were thoughts of you growing ever clear.
I closed my eyes and tried so hard to feel your presence near.
I stood to walk across the beach to where some boulders stand.
When overhead, a white dove flew and did on my shoulder land.
Into my ear, it sang a song so sweet I couldn't bare.
To see it go upward so, back to the free wide air.
Yet, as it flew, from its new perch, it wings beating fast.
I heard it say, on that clear day, our love was meant to last.

From this point on, let your heart be your guide
Close your eyes and look deep inside.
You'll find if you look deep into your heart.
One of cupids' arrows is now there a part.
Only with trust, patience, and time;
Will this gift he has given you, help free your mind.
Look up to the stars and gaze at the moon
For if God is willing I'll be there soon.
For deep in my heart cupid's arrow I have seen
and know deep down this is more than a dream.
For if it's a dream then never will I awake,
I will spend eternity with you by this lake.
We'll explore the waters and walk through this land,
Heart within heart and hand within hand.
Never a day shall my thoughts start to stray,
For deep in my heart and mind you do stay.
To you I'll make this solemn vow,
If you're ever in need call my name and somehow,
By the light of the moon and the warmth of the stars,
I will find my way to you no matter how far.
In the end when all is finished and through
I will close my eyes and think still of you.

Close your eyes and think of this
Your standing on a shore and can feel the mists
You taste the salt from the sea
And would nowhere else rather be.
From the corner of your eye you see a light
'Twas a shooting star lost in flight.
A wish is made from your heart and soul
His arms around you to comfort and hold.
This wish someday will surely come true
You have only to believe the love in you.
SCOTT TUSSEY
Take a small piece of my love for you,
and hide it somewhere sweet.
Never tell another soul,
no matter who you meet.
Now take this as a memory,
and leave it in the past.
Life's too short to take it hard,
and good things never last.
If by chance I go away,
or find another home.
If things don't go right for us,
and you feel all alone,
Don't let time waste you away,
remember your surprise.
That small piece of my love,
still hides behind your eyes.
I know deep inside, that I don't have to hide.
Just because all my clothes are out of fashion,
and right now boys aren't my passion.
Just because the jokes I make, aren't that funny,
and I don't have tonnes of money.
Because others have no right to tell me what to wear,
how to act and do my hair.
Because this is who I want to be.
And if they don't like me for me,
That's their problem not mine.
Because who I am, suits me just fine.
We've shared a special friendship over the last few years,
a friendship that can't be broken, by a few fights and bitter tears.
Our friendship won't be lost, because even in the start,
It was already buried deep down, in the centre of my heart.
We've shared a special trust, that comes straight from the heart.
And it will never die, even when we have to part.
We've shared special secrets, and we've seen each other cry,
But I never thought I'd see, the day we had to say goodbye.

One Love
Some people are lovers for merely a night
One moment of passion, then fading from sight.
Some people find love in any situation,
The flurry of excitement, in brief infatuation.
Some people have loves in the '90s trend;
"I met him at lunch, colleague of a friend."
Still time passes, and interest fades,
Then they mutually decide to go separate ways.
Some people will find a lover for life,
They march down the aisle as husband and wife.
But the eternal flame, it flickers and dies,
And they reach the end of love's bitter demise.
But we are the lovers held deep in the heart,
Not always together, but never apart.
Years may pass, we may find another,
But you and I are always there for each other.
There's only one love that never really ends,
And that is the love that we have, as friends.
I loved you when you were here,
I love you now that you're not.
I wish that I could see you,
But I know that I cannot...
I want to tell you "I Love You,"
I want to tell you face to face.
I want to have a father,
And not an empty space...

I do not need a special day, to bring you to my mind.
A day without a thought of you, is very hard to find.
All I have are memories. A photo in a frame.
I know that some speacial day, we will meet again.
So now that I am standing here, Looking at your grave,
I wonder why you passed away,
Couldn't you have stayed?
What I want is someone
A friend who's always there.
Someone I can talk to,
One I know will care.
You've been the one I've wanted,
Since that evening when we met,
From the moment I set eyes on you,
I've known my heart was set.
You stole it right out of my chest,
When I looked up to see,
Those two dark pools you call your eyes,
Looking down on me.
I don't want to lose you now,
We've only just begun,
To see each other as more than friends,
To share our endless fun.
So why do I keep feeling
Like we're drifting far apart,
You know, I won't live very long,
When you've still got my heart.
So I hope that you'll remember
That I still love you more,
Than any words will ever say,
Or could have said before.
I'd like to thank you
For all that you've done,
We fought a hard battle
And to my surprise, won.
You've been there for me
When I needed to talk,
You held my hand
When I could not walk,
You stayed by my side
And listened to my cries,
You were the first one I saw
When I opened my eyes.
You were always there
When I needed you most,
I'm sorry I stuffed up
The trip to the coast,
I guess that leaves
Just one thing to say,
I love you both, always.

Lying by the water's edge,
A figure draped in white,
She studies her reflection,
By the full moon's silvery light.
A voice that sounds melodious,
A fragrance of fresh air;
Porcelanic features,
Silky lustrous hair.
Blue orb eyes stare at the stars,
Her patient mind is steady,
She's been a maiden, mother, crone,
The passion of a lady.

Every time I see you,
All that I can do is look at you.
Words cannot express,
What I’m feeling deep inside.
The flowers blooming every time you’re passing by.
I can see the laughter in your smile.
I can hear the birds sing, from a mile.
Singing your name, in sweet lullaby.
You are so beautiful,
Which no one could ever be.
You are so wonderful,
The best there ever will be.
JOSEPH CERNA
Just when you think you've found the light,
You see the end is not in sight.
You close your eyes in disbelief,
As your soul prepares for the coming grief.
So many times you've wished it all would come clear,
But the answers fade and you feel the same old fear.
The higher you fly, the further you fall,
And when you hit the ground, you lose it all.
Just when you think you've found your love,
Lightning strikes you from above.
You hold on tight to your shattered heart,
As your world is slowly torn apart.
So many times you've rocked until the dawn,
Then when you wake, the love you had is gone.
The stronger the love, the hotter the flame.
Then it burns you up, leaving you to blame.

The Nightingale sings,
Captivating its audience,
With its sweet melodius voice.
The swan gracefully meanders through the lilies;
Its movement a sight to bestow.
Its beauty bearing no comparison.
Alas, to find one that encompasses,
And manifests such qualities is rare.
Although rare, they exist in one...
You!

As the rain trickles down the pane,
It slowly eases the pain.
Sight that befell such beauty,
Learns ill late its cruelty.
That which embraces charm and grace,
Doth stay in some other's place.
To have but not to hold,
Makes one less the bold.
Though time doth pass,
The memory but stays,
Crystal clear, as glass.
