Lack of Updates Possible 9:35 PM CST by: Trent Dickerson
Hello all. I just wanted to update to say that a lack of future updates are most certainly possible. I just started my senior year of high school this week, and I double the work as everyone else because I want to graduate in December. Therefore, because I will most certainly be busy with school a lot for the next 4 months. I'm not saying I won't update at all, I'm just saying it won't be as often as I normally do. Well, I have to go now, but before I do, I want to encourage everyone to go out and buy Super Mario Sunshine for Nintendo GameCube. GET YOUR SHINE ON!

First Update From Texas 9:20 PM CST by: Trent Dickerson
Well, I'm finally here. Nothing went as planned on Friday, but I won't go into that. Anyways, the phone lines been turned on since Saturday, but I haven't had a chance to update until now. The movers didn't come until Monday, and we've been unpacking boxes non-stop since then. Anyways, a lot has happened since I last updated. For instance, the name for new Final Fantasy game for GameCube has been announced: 'Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles'. Well, I have to go now. I need to update the News section. Oh, and one last thing. SHINE GET IN 4 DAYS!

Last Update For A While 10:02 PM CST by: Trent Dickerson
Well, the big day is finally tomorrow. Tomorrow is going to be a very busy day too. The agenda is as follows: at 7AM, my dad goes to go pick up the U-HAUL truck; at 8AM, the movers(packers) come; then around noon or so I have to go get a haircut; then about 2PM the carpet shampooers arrive; at 3PM we leave to go to a hotel near the turnpike; then sometime around 5:30-6PM, we will go out to dinner; then finally, at midnight, we leave the hotel and make our way to Texas. We'll probably hit Dallas around 7AM. Hopefully, we'll be able to avoid any major traffic. The movers(un-packers) don't come until Monday, so the weekend is going to be very boring. I'm going to tell the movers(packers) to pack my stuff last, so it is at the back of the truck, that way I can take my own stuff out if I want. Anyways, this will probably be my last update for a while. I don't know how long my mom is going to keep the phone line turned off. It may be a couple days, it may be a couple weeks. I don't know. But what I do know is that I will update this site again within the same hour that the phone is turned back on.

Rare Going Third-Party...Or Not? 12:02 PM CST by: Trent Dickerson
Some strange things are going on over at Rareware, Ltd.'s website. First, Donkey Kong Racing for GameCube and Donkey Kong: Coconut Crackers for GBA mysteriously disappear from their list of upcoming titles. Yet, for some reason, Diddy Kong Pilot for GBA remains on the list. Unfortunately, this adds fuel to the fire of rumors that Rare is indeed going 3rd party. If this is true, then that would mean Nintendo has already pulled the Donkey Kong franchise from Rare, meaning both sides already know their 1st-party alliance is withering. It was later revealed that the reason Donkey Kong Racing and Donkey Kong: Coconut Crackers were removed was due to an error while Rareware were revamping their site. Then later in the day, a fan discovered something on the history page of Rare's website. If you read the numbers there and do the math, you'll find out that Nintendo owns a total of 37.8% of Rareware. If you read deeper into the history of Rare you'll also find that if Rareware does indeed go third-party, Nintendo would make money off of any titles sold off of a Nintendo platform. Could this be why Rare is taking so long to decide in whether to go 3rd-party or not? Who knows? One way or another, we should definitely expect some kind of official announcement from Rare before the end of the year.

BREAKING NEWS: ARE VIDEO GAMERS ENLIGHTENED? 11:20 AM CST by: Trent Dickerson
According to a video games study conducted by BBC World's ClickOnline, YES. Apparently, the study conducted suggests that video gamers are able to get into the same rhythm of alpha brainwave activity as someone who has had meditation, such as a monk. Here is a direct excerpt from the study: "What have a Buddhist Monk, a sports person exhibiting peak performance, and a computer gamer got in common? Despite the fact that it sounds like the lead-up to a bad joke, the answer is actually alpha brainwave activity. It's common knowledge, in scientific and sporting circles, that sports people performing at the very peak of their abilities can experience an increased level of this type of activity." You can read the full article by clicking here. So it turns out, I'm actually NOT lazy OR passive-aggressive, I'm just in an enlightened state! SWEEET!
