The Landmark Speed Team is a member of USA Roller Skating (USARS), which is recognized by the Federation Internationale de Roller Skationg (FIRS) as the governing body for ameteur competitive roller skating in the U.S. USARS is also a class A member of the U.S. Olympic Committee.

History

The Landmark Speed Team was started September of 1989. In its first 9 years of competition, local skaters won over 1400 trophies, medals and plaques including 136 Regional Championship medals and 26 National Championship medals. Four of these National medals were OVERALL NATIONAL CHAMPIONS, setting two new national records! Landmark has had 2 members voted Southern Regional Skaters of the Year.

During its tenth year (Sept. 98-Aug. 99) speed team members won 442 awards including 29 Regional medals and 16 National medals! Again we hosted 7 Overal National Champions and two new records were set!
