Whinny Gill

This Reservoir sits on the edge of Skipton and is a fairly unique construction. As one of the forerunners to the concrete bowls water companies build today, it was constructed with gritstone blocks laid with no mortar. This gives a ideal bed for small fish to hide away from the waters larger fish and also provides an ideal breeding ground for the the varied insect life found at this water.

The water is enclosed within a perimeter fence with a key required to gain access through the gate, day tickets are available but day ticket anglers must be accompanied by a member.
