Here's Nicole said about her Senegal Parrot:
I got Ecco about 3 years ago from a local bird aviary.
She is very attached to me and strangers have to try VERY VERY hard to win her over.
She knows how to say her own name as well as mine.
Lately she's been saying something else... most likely one of my dog's names..Rocky.
I don't think she see's herself as a bird..but rather as a human.
We have 6 other birds and she would much rather be where I am than with the other
birds screaming and making a mess. She is rather spoiled sometimes because
compared to our other birds who won't stop SCREAMING at the top of their lungs...
Ecco is the best pet you could hope for. When she used to live in my room,
forget the alarm clock. Whether I liked it or not, I was up very promptly at 6 AM.
(That's why she know lives with the other birds...outside!)
I love all of my pets...but she is my pride and joy!
