THE IDEA

Traveling…Ordinary days, turn extraordinary when you are in a different land, city, or environment. Experiencing moments so moving, perfect, and awe-inspiring, you know they will live with you forever.

Four years ago I was in Tahiti, it was…deep breath…wonderful. Frustrated by the inability to capture the holiday through a souvenir, I took pictures. On my return, I sat down and relived the trip through the eyes of my lens, however awkward, as I am not a professional photographer.

I kept going back to one photo. That single image held the definition of my trip. Looking at that photo brought back all the places and people I had met. Interestingly enough, the photo was not the picturesque beach for which Tahiti is so famous. Instead, it was a little run down café where I had breakfast every morning, petting the owners dog, while writing in my journal. That was Tahiti for me, and that's what I painted on my return.

That was the birth of EIA, Experience Inspired Art.

By painting the likeness of the photo, I not only had a beautiful and interesting piece of art, but also, I have my trip and experience immortalized, forever.

That's the Idea, giving you the same gift. Your moment in time brought to life by adding the dimension of paint, texture and art.
