DYNAMC
A very nice bluesy sort
of clean - the kind that really changes depending on your picking
style. Pick gently with the neck pickup and it's a soft, clean
chorus type of sound. Pick a little harder and it breaks up into
a harsh bluesy sound. This is GREAT if you're playing solo guitar
because you can go from soft to loud just by changing your picking
style.

UNREAL
How can I describe this?
It's my variation of the original VIOLIN, but it's not meant to
be used like VIOLIN. Best described as the sound from the very
end of Pantera's Floods or the middle guitar interlude
in Tool's Schism. It's mildly distorted and echoes, and
you should let the notes ring out as much as possible. Try playing
ringing arpeggios all over the neck, and remember not to pick
very hard, or turn the volume on your guitar down quite a bit.
For an even more different kind of sound, trying replacing VOLUME
with WAH.

HAMLET
I was half asleep and
called this patch HAMLET for some crazy reason. It sounds pretty
Van Halen-ish to me, i.e. distorted solo tone with a bit of flanger
and reverb. Try tapping.

SLASH
Close to Slash's no-frills
Marshall overdive tone. The overdrive on the AX1G is pretty weak
(not much drive), but this is an acceptable tone for most of Slash's
solos (although I prefer using Mayank).
It sounds purer than the distortions, and is great for rhythm
as well. Keep the wah off (depress the pedal until the pedal light
goes off) when playing non-wah stuff.

IZZY
Izzy Stradlin, former
rhythm guitarist of Guns N' Roses. Most of the "clean"
stuff he plays is not completely clean but slightly broken up
like a harsh blues sound. This patch best suits Ain't it Fun
from The Spaghetti Incident? For the other, cleaner sound
they use on songs like Don't Cry, use GNR
CLN.

MAYANK
(UPDATED)
For solos
the way they should be!!
My personal favorite
for the self-indulgent fast solo, with tons and tons of gain,
a very nice, thick, biting tone and a sweet dose of reverb! Tasty...
I now keep the wah off because it seems to affect the overall
tone. Also good for the solos in Metallica's Fade to Black.

SOLO*
A harsh fuzz tone, sort
of like Hendrix on steroids (as if he wasn't). Coupled with some
nice feedback, this patch is great for soloing.

COBAIN
Kurt Cobain's watery
solo tone for songs like Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit
and Come As You Are.
