The purpose of this site is to provide a sample of current information about Primary Biliary Cirrhosis (PBC), an incurable autoimmune liver disease of unknown cause.
I am especially interested in providing this information to recently diagnosed PBC patients. Many of us received incomplete and outdated information at the time of diagnosis.
Liver Capitol Hill Day 2009
Organized by the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD), hepatologists, researchers and liver disease patients met with US Senate and House of Representatives staffers on Capitol Hill March 19, 2009 to express their concerns over healthcare reform and liver disease research, prevention and treatment.
