A Truly Informational Meeting #5 Inu Yasha walks up to the hut in the center of the village. He brushes aside the grass mat door and walks in. Hakari hesitates at the door. Noticing her absence, Inu Yasha sticks his head back out the door. Inu Yasha: “Hey, you coming or what?” Hakari: “Um, yeah.” Hakari steps through the door to see everyone sitting around a fire in the main room, apparently waiting for her. Hakari stands nervously by the door, wondering what she should do. Inu Yasha: “Well come on and sit down all ready!” Hakari: “Uh, okay.” Kagome: “Here, you can sit by me.” Hakari: “Thanks.” Kagome: “So, what’s your name?” Hakari: “It’s Hakari.” Kagome: “Hakari, it sounds familiar for some reason. Oh well, my name’s Kagome! That guy over there is Inu Yasha as I’m sure you already know. She’s Sango, and that’s Miroku. *In a low voice* You might want to watch out for him, he’s kinda a perv.” Miroku: “Kagome! I’m hurt!” Sango: “Shut up Miroku, you know it’s true.” Miroku: “Ah Sango, *puts his arm around her* you’re so cruel to me.” Sango smacks him as his hand begins to wander toward her backside. She scoots away from him. Miroku: *Sigh* Hakari: Fx: Giggle “Hee hee, sorry.” Everyone turns to look at her having forgotten she was even there. Sango: “So Hakari, tell us about yourself. Obviously your from Kagome’s time, but where do you live?” Hakari: “Well, I don’t live in Japan…Hey, wait a sec! Kagome’s time?” Inu Yasha: “Well duh, can’t you tell by her clothes?” Hakari: “Yeah, I guess so.” Kagome: “My family cares for the shrine where the well is. We’ve been taking care of it for centuries.” Hakari: “Ah, I see. Anyway, my foster parents and I live in the United States.” Kagome: “Ooh, really? Where in the U.S?” Hakari: “We live in Louisiana.” Kagome: “Oh! That’s neat! I’ve always wanted to visit there! Especially for that Mardi Gras celebration!” Hakari: “It’s sooooo much fun!” The two girls go on about various things future related. The latest movies, stars, singers, fashions, and so on. Everyone else was totally lost and looked it too. Miroku: “Ahem, if I may interrupt…” Hakari: “Oh, right. Where was I? Oh yeah. Well my parents and I live in Louisiana, but we also have a summerhouse in Tokyo. It’s not far from the shrine actually. We visit the shrine every year.” Sango: “Why do you vi-” Inu Yasha: “Demon. And it’s coming fast too.” Kagome: “I sense it to!” She turns suddenly to look at Inu Yasha “Inu Yasha! It has a shard!” Inu Yasha: “Alright! We didn’t even have to go looking for it!” He fingers Tetsuiga’s handle as if eager to draw it. “Let’s go!” Everyone files out the door along with Kirara. Kagome is last to stand and turns to Hakari. Kagome: “It’s probably best if you stay in here. It’s gonna get pretty messy out there.” Hakari simply sit there. Hakari: “Uh, but what-?” Kagome had already left though. Hakari: “What are they going to do?” Hakari sits there a few minutes contemplating what she should do. They thought she would only get in the way, a mere distraction. She’d show them. Fx Shout: AAAAHHHHHHHH! Hakari: “Oh no! I have to go help! I can’t just sit here!” Hakari rushes to the door and shoves aside the grass mat door and is stupefied by what she sees.
