Daz Dillinger first came on to tha rap scene in 1992 then as Dat Nigga Daz. He debuted on Dr. Dre's album The Chronic along with many other members of tha DPG. Later he and Kurupt formed tha group Tha Dogg Pound and debuted on the Poetic Justice Soundtrack. In 93 and 94 Tha Dogg Pound made many appearances on Snoop Doggy Dogg's Doggystyle and became much more well known. Next for Tha Dogg Pound was the Murder Was Tha Case Soundtrack, which they had many songs on it. In 1995 Daz and Kurupt had their first album as Tha Dogg Pound titled Dogg Food, which went double platinum. On this album Daz improved his producing skillz and became a well known producer. From Dogg Food on Daz has produced tracks for many westcoast artists, including Snoop, 2 Pac, and many more. Right around when the Gang Related Soundtrack came out, was when Dat Nigga Daz, changed to Daz Dillinger. In early 1998, despite of just about all of tha top artists leaving Deathrow Records, Daz decided to stay with Deathrow. He later released his first solo album, Retaliation Revenge and Get Back. On this album it was finally Daz's turn to shine, and he definetly did. In tha future, Daz plans to do another Dogg Pound album title Wescoast Aftershock, an album with 2 Pac called Makaveli and Dillinger, and producing for many more Deathrow Projects.
