Victoria Hudson (who was not given a middle name) was born on July 22, 1967 in Bay City, Illinois.  Her mother Donna was only 16 when she had a fling with Michael Hudson (her father's stable boy) and became pregnant.  Donna's father, the rich and powerful Reginald Love, was ashamed of his young daughter. He ran Michael out of town, never
about the pregnancy. When it came time to have the baby, Donna was drugged and a c-section was performed. Discovering that there were actually two babies, Reginald quickly snatched the first one, Vicky, and shipped her off to Lassiter, Pennsylvania.  As for Marley, the other twin, Reginald forced Donna to raise the baby as her little sister, pretending that their mother had died early on. Donna never knew she had given birth to twins.
In Lassiter, Vicky was raised by Bridget Connell, thinking her parents had given her up as a baby.  She met Jake McKinnon in elementary school, and the two became close friends.  They both were wild and rebellious kids with rough childhoods and bad attitudes. As teenagers, they dated and became lovers.
When Vicky became curious about her past and the parents who gave her up, Jake helped her research, and before long, the two uncovered the truth about
Vicky's heritage.  So they headed for Bay City to cash in on the Love family fortune.
In 1985 Vicky presented herself to her mother and identical twin sister Marley. It took several years for them to adjust to each other. Vicky blamed her mother for what happened to her as a baby. And although Marley tried to get along
with her sister, Vicky resented her because the town adored Marley and hated the wild-spirited Vicky.
In 1986, Michael came back to Bay City and discovered his daughters.  Vicky and her father hit it off right away and remained close through the years.  Jake, taken in by the Love family, soon left Vicky for Marley.
Vicky was hurt by this betrayal, and it drove a deeper wedge between the two sisters.  On the rebound, Vicky met and became obsessed with Jamie Frame, the son of the wealthy Rachel Cory.
Jamie was engaged to a woman named Lisa, but that didn't stop Vicky from going after him, nor did it stop Jamie from sleeping with her. When Vicky became pregnant, Jamie did the only thing he felt was right and proposed. The two were married in Feb. of 1989, and Vicky gave birth to their son Steven in March. Eight months later, Jamie left her when he learned he might not be the baby's father (Vicky had slept with Jake not long before she had gotten pregnant).  It turned out that Jamie
was the baby's father, but he had been hurt so much by Vicky's affair that he couldn't forgive her and they divorced. After a long custody battle, the two settled their differences for the baby's sake and remained friends from then on.
By this time, Marley and Jake had split up, and Jamie decided he wanted Marley. Vicky was angry at first, but she realized there was nothing left between her and Jamie, so she encouraged the relationship. The twins were slowly becoming closer. In 1990, Vicky even went to Switzerland to spend a couple of months with her sister.
After returning to Bay City, Vicky began dating Ryan Harrison, whom she had met the previous year when he had rescued her from a runaway horse.  Ryan was a gentle-hearted cop, and Vicky was a wild-spirited mischief-maker, and their differences created a chemistry neither one could resist. They dated happily for several months. At the request of Ryan, Vicky went to work for his brother Grant's senate campaign. Grant was attracted to her immediately and set out to make her his.
That fall, Ryan proposed at the train tressle, their special place, and a surprised Vicky happily accepted. The two began planning their wedding.
Vicky and Grant grew closer through the senate campaign, and when Vicky and Ryan had a fight, Grant worked hard to convince her that Ryan was too rigid and demanding for her. Vicky began to believe him, and they eventually had a one-night-stand.  When Ryan found out, he was devastated, and broke off the engagement.  Vicky worked all summer
to get Ryan back, but with no success. Grant continued to move in on her, and he proposed to her that fall. Although Vicky didn't really want to marry Grant, she was upset over Ryan and thought it would make him jealous if she married his brother.  On February 5, 1993 Vicky and Grant were married.
While on their honeymoon in Canada, Vicky was kidnapped. Ryan flew up to help look for her, and eventually found her. The two ended up in a cave and, thinking they were going to die, they made love. They later agreed not to tell anyone what had happened that night, but Grant
eventually found out.  He knew Vicky was still in love with Ryan, but was determined to keep the two apart.
Not long after, Vicky began working with Ryan to find out who had kidnapped her.  When she followed Ryan back to Canada to look for clues, Vicky was kidnapped again.  The kidnapper took her to the cave, where Ryan showed up, followed by an angry Grant. Grant fired a shot at the kidnapper, but it hit Vicky instead.
Vicky lay in a coma, and Grant, wanting to get her away from Ryan, whisked her away to a secluded rehab center in Switzerland. When she awoke, Grant told her that Ryan had
accidentally shot her.  After a few weeks of recovery, Vicky wanted to go home and see Ryan, but Grant had become obsessed with keeping the two apart, and locked Vicky in her hospital room.
Vicky managed to escape, but not before sleeping with Grant.  She and Ryan reunited at a train station and he told her he wanted her back.  Vicky was ecstatic and she went back to Bay City and filed for a divorce.
A few weeks later Vicky discovered that she was pregnant. Upon learning that the baby was Grant's, she attempted to have an abortion, but Grant stopped her after Ryan told him it was his baby.
The next day Vicky was in a car accident, but she and the baby were not badly injured.  Realizing how serious it could have been, she decided she wanted to have the baby.  Ryan stood by her through the pregnancy, and in April of 1994, Kirkland was born. Vicky feared that Grant would win custody of the baby and Kirk would grow up just like his father.  So just days after the baby was born, Vicky fled Bay City with her son, leaving a hurt and confused Ryan behind.
For six months, Vicky remained in hiding, only keeping in contact with Donna and Marley, both of whom she was very close to now. That fall, she returned to town with a scheme to keep Grant away from the now six-month-old Kirkland.  While she had been in hiding, she had met a deathly ill woman who had given Vicky her infant son, Sean, to care for.  She got Jake's help in carrying out
her plan - Jake took Vicky's real son, Kirkland, and pretended that he was an abandoned baby he'd found in a dumpster. Vicky took the other baby, Sean, and returned to Bay City, pretending Sean was actually Kirkland.  When Grant learned of Vicky's return, he had her arrested for kidnapping, and snatched "Kirkland" from her arms. When Vicky was later released from jail, she headed to Jake and Paulina's, where the real Kirk was waiting.
After keeping up this charade for several months, Vicky's conscience got the best of her, and she revealed the babies' true identities to Ryan. When Grant found out what she's done, he shot
himself and framed Vicky for it in order to keep her from getting custody of Kirk.  After a long trial, Ryan finally tricked Grant into admitting what he'd done, and Vicky was awarded custody of the real Kirkland (The other baby, Sean, was taken home when his biological parents showed up).
About the same time as the trial, Jake was into some trouble with a loan shark.  He came to Vicky for help, and she loaned him the money to pay the shark off.  But on his way to meet with the loan shark, Jake was in a bad car accident.  A badly burned body was found at the accident site wearing Jake's watch and wedding ring, so Jake was presumed dead.
Vicky and Paulina, who were once arch enemies, now began to become close, finding a common bond through their grief over Jake.  Together they went to Lassiter and spread Jake's ashes around the playground where he and Vicky had played when they were children.
That spring, Michael, who had been living out of state, moved back to Bay City, bringing a mysterious stranger along.  Later Vicky was shocked to learn that the stranger was Michael's 19-year-old son, Nick, whom he had just discovered.  Vicky and her new half-brother didn't hit it off well at first, but they bonded when the family learned that Michael had lukemia. Nick graciously donated his bone marrow for Michael's transplant.
At the same time, Vicky and Ryan began having problems when Ryan became obsessed with a
case at work.  What Vicky didn't know was that that case was actually Ryan's evil mother, Justine, who had come to Bay City looking to reclaim her family.
Upset over Ryan, Vicky went to Lassiter to get away, and was completely stunned when Jake came up behind her. It turns out the body found at the accident scene wasn't Jake's, it was the loan shark's body. Jake had had amnesia and had been living in California since the accident. When he saw Vicky, he remembered her face and thought she was his wife.
An excited Vicky took her best friend back to Bay City with her, telling him about his real wife, Paulina, who was about to marry Joe Carlino, a cop.  Vicky and Jake stopped the wedding, creating quite a scene, and Paulina was forced to choose between the man she'd once loved, and the new man she just fell in love with.  Eventually, after a viscious battle between Jake and Joe, Paulina chose to marry Joe, leaving Jake heartbroken.
Meanwhile, Justine, who had disguised herself as Rachel Cory, became obsessed with her son Grant, and wanted him to be happy.  Realizing that all Grant wanted was custody of his son Kirk, Justine kidnapped Vicky and walled her into the basement of her mansion, so that Grant would get Kirk. A frantic Ryan searched all over town for Vicky, and with Jake's help, finally found her half-dead in Justine's basement.
Furious, Ryan went after Justine and had her cornered at the train tressel when Grant showed up
and fired a shot, hitting Ryan square in the back.
Vicky kept a bedside vigil as Ryan lay in a coma.  Days later he awoke, but only for a few minutes.  He whispered his goodbyes to a heartbroken Vicky and then died.
Vicky was grief-stricken, and when she learned it was Grant that had killed Ryan, she became obsessed with making him pay.  Pretending to fall in love with him, Vicky finally got Grant to confess and he was sent to prison.
Needing to get away from Bay City and all her memories of Ryan, Vicky headed out of town with her sons.  Not long after, Bridget, the woman that had raised Vicky, died in the hospital.  Jake went to see Vicky and told her the news.  Later, he brought Vicky back to Bay City, where she and the boys moved into his apartment because she couldn't stand to be at her house, where memories of Ryan were prominent. Jake was beginning to fall for Vicky again, but she was totally oblivious, still grieving over Ryan's death.
That year, Grant received a pardon from the governor and was released from prison.  He wanted sole custody of Kirkland, but was given only visitation rights.
That summer, while caught in a rain storm, Vicky discovered an old country cottage.  Wanting to buy the place, she investigated into its ownership, only to find that Bridget had bought the house before she died as a gift to Vicky.  Excited, Vicky and her two boys moved in.  Realizing the house needed some work, Vicky's father hired Bobby Reno, a carpenter new to Bay City,
to fix up the place. As Vicky and Bobby became friends, Jake began to get jealous, and decided to reveal his feelings for Vicky.  Although Vicky loved Jake, there was something about Bobby that she couldn't get over.  Later, she found out that Bobby had had a cornea transplant, and Ryan had been the donor.  Through that connection with Ryan, Vicky and Bobby grew closer, and she learned that Bobby's real name was Shane Roberts, and he was a doctor from New Orleans.
Shane began having mysterious visions and dreams, and he realized it was Ryan's spirit trying to tell him something.  About that time, Ryan came back as a ghost, but only Kirkland could see or hear him.  When Grant planted a bomb in Shane's truck to get rid of Vicky, Ryan's ghost was able to warn Shane, and he and Vicky jumped out of the truck just before the bomb exploded. Vicky was knocked unconscious by the blast, and she was able to reunite with Ryan in spirit.
Ryan took her to heaven, where the two were married.  After showing her what life would be like for her family if she were to stay in heaven with him, Ryan convinced her spirit to return to earth.  When Vicky awoke, she was injured from the blast and had amnesia. Shane took her to a friend's house where they could call someone for help.  There, she regained her memory and was able to finally let go of Ryan and move on.
After this incident, Vicky and Shane were very close and began dating.  Jake was jealous, but wanted Vicky to be happy, so he kept his mouth shut.  Then Shane's ex-wife, Lila, came back to town looking to reclaim her husband.  Lila worked without end to get Shane back, but he was in love with Vicky.
Vicky, however, was beginning to be swayed by Jake. He asked her and the boys to go to New York City
with him for a little vacation. They had a great time, and Vicky decided she wanted to be with Jake.  They went on a few dates, then Vicky proposed to him at the swings in Lassiter and he accepted.
Shane was devastated, and tried numerous times to get Vicky back. On Jake and Vicky's wedding day, after Vicky went to see Shane and tell him to back off, he showed up at their wedding with intentions of stopping it. But the wedding went on and the couple was married.
Yet even after marrying Jake, Vicky couldn't get rid of all her feelings for Shane, and the two almost made love up at the Hudson cabin on a stormy night.  But just in time, Vicky realized
that Jake was the only man she wanted, and asked Shane to take her home. On the way, they were in a terrible car wreck. Shane pushed Vicky out of the car, saving her life, and she was found by Donna, who made her promise not to tell Jake what happened that night. They later found out that the driver of the other car was Michael, and he was killed.  Shane later died at the hospital that night.
Blaming her daughter for killing Michael, Donna was furious.  When she found Shane's journal (forged by Lila) saying that Shane and Vicky had been sleeping together for months, she went over the edge and tried to run Vicky down.  Only it wasn't Vicky who she hit, it was Marley.
While Marley was in the hospital, there was a fire and her face was burned so badly that she had to have reconstructive surgery, and she no longer looked like herself.  Blaming Vicky for everything, Marley set out to steal Jake away from her sister.  She kidnapped Vicky and held her prisoner in her basement, but was caught when Jake figured out what she'd done.
After a few months, Vicky was able to forgive her sister, and the two became close again.  When Grant tried to kidnap Kirkland, Vicky hit him over the head with a statue, and freaked when she thought she'd killed him. Marley, wanting to make up for what she'd done, took
the blame for the murder, but it was later discovered that the blow to the head wasn't the cause of Grant's death.  He was actually strangled by Tito, one of his many enemies.
Vicky was finally at peace. She had grown very close to both her mother and her sister, not to mention her half-brother Nick. With their marriage stronger than ever, Vicky and Jake decided to try to have a baby. That spring, the couple was thrilled to learn that Vicky was pregnant with twins. They settled down into their new life together with Steven, Kirkland, and their babies-to-be.
