Greenwich Moonridian Time

WET 36: Greenwich Moonridian Time

The image from Ron Hall this week was actually a group of four images: Astronaut Neil Armstrong, the Armstrong tartan, a double-decker bus, and Big Ben.

I was gone for a couple of days to a family reunion, but I had this first image (sort of!) in my mind when I came back.

I used the circle deformation tool to make the moon from the tartan, then cut out the clock face from Big Ben to put on the "Greenwich" meridian. Mr. Armstrong is just finishing a very long spacewalk and has discovered mean time. :) (The bus broke down on the other side of the moon; that's why he looks so tired!)

I created a "starry sky" using the spray paint tool with density set at 1, then placed the tartan moon on it.

This second image was a result of playing with copying and pasting, rotation, motion blurring, a bit of smudging, pattern filling (from the images), and some deformations.

I had lots of fun making "snowflakes" of the different images. I used only the original images to create the entire picture. This is a tiling image, so to get the best effect, right click on the image and choose "set as wallpaper."

Everything on this page was done in Paint Shop Pro 5, using only the original filters and functions supplied with the program.

This is a smaller version of the original image posted for us to use. Thank you!
