WET #58: A True Leader!

WET 58: A True LeaderMy take of the WET is a very "spiritual" image, I'm told...my 13 year old says it looks like the mouse savior! If so, I'm not sure whether it is the spirit of Mickey, or of Martin the Warrior from the Redwall books. I AM pretty sure it's not George anymore! :) Everything in the picture is from the original WET 58 (although I did add a radial glow overlay layer for his aura). George was the model for our hero (done with some dodging), while his majestic base was the ceiling in the pagoda-like structure. The "sea" was made by making a pattern tile from 4 segments of the lower left-side walls, filling the background with that pattern, and then colorizing it a slate color. I then motion blurred a copy of it for the fog and offset that layer a bit. The near wisps of fog were made by cutting out sections of the "main" fog, smudging them, and blending on "lighten." The mats and frame were made from elements of the background picture: the green from the vertical inner walls; the cream pattern from the fence grid; and the outer frame from the carved work on the rafters. All were shadowed and the outer frame buttonized. The Chinese(?) characters were reduced, sharpened, lightened, selected and shadowed for the "title." (My thirteen year old says it reads, "One Way!") |
![]() This is a smaller version of the original image collection posted for us to use. Thank you! |
This image was created using Paint Shop Pro 5, especially for the WET #58 project.
It is my original creation based on the original WET images obtained on-line from R.C.
through alt.binaries.comp-graphics.
Thank you!
