This listing will seem very regional in the beginning, but I hope to expand it over time. Post any resources that you know of and aren't yet listed here in the Message Board.

MS Societies:

International Resources Online:

  • MS Watch. An excellent site that offers many tools for a person with MS to use. Note: This site only allows Americans to access it.

Celebrity Sites

These two sites show that MS can strike in all walks of life, and that some of our more famous sufferers are trying to do what they can to help:

  • David Lander . The former Squiggy from Laverne and Shirley "came out" last year. Here, he talks of his 15 years of silence.
  • Montel Williams. Montel was officially diagnosed in 1999, although he was misdiagnosed for years.

Montel offers many resource links through this site.

Links to drug companies

These sites also offer many resources to a large number of people:

  • Shared Solutions. From the people behind Copaxone.
  • MS Pathways. I'm very familiar with this organization, as I was a user of their medication (Betaseron) last year.

All About MS

This site is packed with information and links to other sites.

The list of celebrities known to have MS is an eye opener. Many people I wasn't aware of are there, some I was saddened to find among us (although anyone having MS is sad enough).

Usenet

alt.support.mult-sclerosis

The original support newsgroup.

A caveat: sometimes, the frank discussions within this newsgroup can seem frightening to those who don't want to hear of worst case scenarios.

Yahoo! Clubs

Yahoo Clubs offer you several tools for interacting with other people with MS: message bases, and an online chat feature.

I've discovered a few groups in the Clubs that may be of interest to you:

  • MS Singles
  • MS Friends
