Herb R. as The Camel Boy from Illinois - The First Telethon to Benefit the Boat People - October 17-18, 1986


Herb, the "R" in V&R Productions, is not only one of the cofounders of the Doom Patrol but also an accomplished artist, writer and musician. Under the auspices of the V&R Productions umbrella, Herb co-produced the film That "Old Proud" Look which starred Steve (Big M) Mirande, in 1985.

Other V&R credits include the first two Telethons for the Benefit of the Boat People, issues one thru three of the Road-Kill Review where he worked as the principle artist, and editor, of the 'zine along with Jeff the Joker.

Herb has played guitar, as Maximillian, on the bootleg 1987 recording "The Friday Night Jam Sessions" and has also appeared as The Camel Boy from Illinois in telethons #1 and #2.
