Life As We Know It
Believe it or not, this was the first poem I ever wrote, and so, even though I hate it, I've still included it here because it's still important, no matter how bad it is.
I went through this period of time a few years ago when I was just mad at the world a large amount of the time. So when I started writing, it was mostly out of need. I felt that I needed to rid myself of the proverbial demons that were cursing my life. Most of my demons were hoplessness, anger, and unhappiness. I was also pretty fed up with not knowing why I was even bothering to exist, and wondering what I was really supposed to be doing with my time on earth.
So while I cringe every time I see or read this poem, it's a very special one because it opened the floodgates and allowed me to realize that life is always changing, so we can never really know it.
