I spent a lot of time a few months ago thinking about God and why I believe in Him. I think most people, including myself, believe in an omnipotent being because they don't know any other way to validate their existence. Not that that's a bad thing, but if that's the sole reason you believe in God, then maybe you never really believed in the first place.
Knowledge is power, and I think some people are scared by the thought of a being who knows absolutely everything, it scares me, at least. More than anything, I wanted to convey the feeling of not knowing if you're actually right in your beliefs about God. I also wanted to create a feeling of calm and peace in that realization, which is what I hope I did.
