It is the
firing and the several kinds
of glazes used in ceramics that characterize the different pieces I have created. My
studies range from traditional maiolica
painting to simple greenware
decoration, where colors are directly applied onto non-fired pieces of dry clay which is then glazed only after a first firing.

The shape of this oblong vase influenced my decision for depicting a tall and slender figure which stands statue-like in the middle of a bright forest.
