I saw Ora Sittner in a concert
in Paris in 1993 and I was very impressed not only by the greatness of her voice, but also
by the quality of her arrangements. She reminded me of a cross between Chava Albertstein and Yehudit
Ravitz (great references, no?). Her voice is pure and she perfectly knows how to make
the most out of it. Ora favors "zen" arrangements, with a limited amount of
instruments. And she is right because with her voice, a piano or a flute is enough to take
you up high in the peaceful musical clouds! By the way, Ora has a Yiddish album which is
one of the very best of the genre.I am very happy that Ora is still working on different
projects because so much talent and sophistication should be exploited! |
