These links are a collection of
sites I frequent; they have all been personally found and verified (not simply borrowed
off of an existing links page). I tend to favour sites that have have high graphics
content (quantity and/or quality) and that are reliable and firmly established. The vast
majority of these sites have been in existence reliably for at least 6 months, and many
for over a year. |

Archives, Virtual Galleries & Museums |
CGFA
- http://sunsite.unc.edu/cjackson/index.html
- Simply the most complete medium to high-resolution collection of on-line fine
art available. Believe me, I've looked around. Everything from Madonnas to blurry
churches.
*****Unable to verify, April 28************
The BC Archives - http://www.bcarchives.gov.bc.ca/index.htm
- Great historical photos and much more.
EarthStation1 - http://earthstation1.simplenet.com/homepage.html
- Excellent picture and sound archive, updated often. Kind of a museum of
recent historical media. From WWII propaganda posters to TV themes. Also links to great
share and freeware. Well worth the visit.
Tolkien's Oxford - http://users.ox.ac.uk/~tolksoc/TolkiensOxford/
- Photos of Oxford that feature places from Tolkien's life. Noteworthy because all the
graphics come in three sizes - small, large, and holy-shit-that's-large.
Close-ups of Rotting Spam - http://www.fright.com/spam/closeups.html
- And other foods. If you just gotta have some images of mold and bachelor pad
sickness....

- Links page to a multitude of medieval art resources and archives - manuscripts, frescos,
tapestries, etc.
WebMuseum, Paris - http://sunsite.unc.edu/wm/ - I believe this guy
(Nicholas Pioch) used to refer to his site as a "Louvre" site until the museum
bitched and he had to change the name. Frankly, his site is much more comprehensive
that the official Louvre site, anyway.
Shakespeare Illustrated - http://www.cc.emory.edu/ENGLISH/classes/Shakespeare_Illustrated/Shakespeare.html
- Paintings of Shakespearean scenes. Cool from an intersecting paradigm perspective, kind
of "the brush meets the quill."
Laparoscopy.com - http://www.laparoscopy.com/ - Taking a camera
places it was never meant to go. Ewwwwwwwwww.
The Cabinet of Dr. Casey - http://www.drcasey.com/index.shtml - This is
an excellent horror resource. Lotsa graphics, lotsa info, attractively designed. Spatter,
splatter, gore, and more.
San Fransisco 1989 Earthquake Photos
- http://www.best.com/~sfmuseum/1989/89photos.html

resolution choices, from thumbnail to mind-bogglingly big.
Hubble Space Telescope Public Pictures -
http://oposite.stsci.edu/pubinfo/Pictures.html
- The absolutely best HST picture resource. The latest images, thumbnails if you want 'em,
categorized, different formats and resolutions.

- Very good educational resource with many images of and facts about our stellar
neighborhood.

collection of clip art, icons, bullets, and you name it. I'm impressed.
Ralph Steadman Home Page - http://www.ralphsteadman.com/ - The official Ralph Steadman site. Not the greatest, I must admit, but
at least it's official.
Kurt Vonnegut Home Page - http://www.vonnegut.com/ - An excellent page from one of favorite authors - it has a great
personal touch, and includes works by Vonnegut in a number of media (ever seen his
illustration of an asshole in "Breakfast of Champions"? Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!)
The World Wide Web Virtual Library - Theatre Images

useful.
Digitopolis - http://www.digitopolis.com/frame.htm -

The Church of the
SubGenius - http://www.subgenius.com/ - BRAIN TOOLKIT AND
SURREALITY REBOOT - Lookin for some Slack? Wanna gaze in wonder at the face of
"Bob"? This site is all you need to shed your Pinkness. Huge, convoluted, and
exhaustively managed and updated by the Rev Ivan Stang. Features pipefulls of graphics,
sounds, multimedia, software, links and the Short Duration Online Wedding.
Universal Life Church - http://ybi.com/ulc/ordain.html - Online
Ordination Page. The ULC has apparently agreed to happily endorse those Subgenii (and
anyone else) who want their annointed status officially recognized by the State.
