Jason's grandparents, Susan and Kent, lived in a very spacous house. There were five
bedrooms including the master bedroom, a study, a rec room, a family
room and a large kitchen. The pantry was full of candy and snack food.
They said Jason, Alex, and Brandon were free to grab a snack whenever
they wanted.
Today, Susan was making breakfast for everyone.
"Thank you for doing this, Mrs. Klopeck." Alex said as he set the table.
"No problem. And call me Susan. You're my grandson's friends."
"That means you can call me Kent. Do you have any plans today?" Kent
asked while reading the newspaper. Brandon carried a plate of pancakes
to the table. Jason brought the sausages.
"Not really. Why?" Alex responded.
"If you like, you can join us. We're going to a nearby lake to fish."
"I wouldn't mind going." Brandon said.
"Neither would I." Alex said. He turned to Jason. Jason sighed.
"If you're going I might as well go too."
"But first we're going to the store, Jason. You need a pair of new
shoes. Don't think I didn't notice." Susan said. Jason blushed.
"What on earth did you do?" Jason laughed nervously.
"That's not important. And I can get shoes by myself. Hey, grandma,
why don't you show Alex and Brandon around while I shop?"
"That's a wonderful idea. Now, come on, let's eat."

"And that's the high school." Susan said, pointing to the right.
Brandon and Alex stared.
"Wow. That's big." Alex commented.
"Bigger then our high school." Brandon said.
"It has a football field." Susan said. "So you can visit anytime
you want. You might even meet more kids your age."
Alex and Brandon looked at each other and smiled.
"Does Jason know about this?" Brandon asked.
"Oh, yes he does. He's been in this town before." She responded.
"Through he hasn't come here for a few years." Susan glanced at her
watch.
"We better get back to the house now. Jason should be done be now
and Kent wants to get going before eleven."
Alex and Brandon had seen enough of the city to plan what they wanted
to do for the rest of the week. And it definity included going back
to that football field.

The lake was several miles form the city but there weren't a lot
of people there. Kent chose his favorite spot and parked there. Jason,
Alex and Brandon decided to fish on the dock and Kent would fish
from the shore.
"Have you ever gone fishing before?" Jason asked.
"Once or twice. A long time ago." Alex replied.
"Me too. What bait do you use." Brandon said. Jason grinned.
"This may sound strange, but I use raisons."
"Fish don't eat raisons." Alex said, grimancing at the idea.
"Who says they don't? It always worked with me."
"Just give me the worms." Alex said.
"I'll try the raisons." Brandon said, reaching for some. Alex rolled
his eyes.
"You never know, Alex." Brandon said to him. "We'll see who gets a fish."
By the time they done, Kent had two, Jason and Brandon both caught one,
and Alex had none.
"The fish weren't hungry, I guess." Alex commented as Jason put the
bait away. "What bait did Kent use?"
Jason smiled and laughed.
"He used raisons, just like I did. I got the idea from him." Brandon
burst out laughing. Alex frowned.
"It's not that funny." Alex complianed.
ALex glares at Brandon as he continued to laugh. Then he smiled, walking close
to Brandon. While Brandon was still distracted, Alex simply shoved him into the water.
Alex and Jason were the ones laughing now.
"Alex! That wasn't funny!" Brandon growled as he looked up at them.
"I beg to differ, Brandon." Jason replied, grinning. Two seconds later, he joined
Brandon in the water. Alex smirked down at the two of them.
"Grrr....Alex." Jason sneered. Brandon rolled his eyes; and moving quickly
he jumps up a bit and snatchs Alex's shirt, bringing him into the water as well
Alex gasped as he broke the surface.
"Hey!"
"Hey yourself." Jason said.
Alex replied with smacking the water and sending it toward Jason to hit him in the face.
Jason frowned and retaliated by doing the same. Soon the three of them were in a water fight,
with Susan and Kent watching.
"Ah...to be young again." Susan said with a smile.
