THE INNER VOICE An Inspirational Magazine The Way It Is.by Stephen Jones It is the fundamental right of every human being to be allowed to live their life as they wish. No person has the power to decide on the course another's life should follow, they may only give guidance when it is sought. All things are of energy and matter, therefore all things live, whether as animals or inanimate objects. All are integral parts of the Universe and have their place in the structure of life. Nothing should be taken without first asking permission, whether meat from an animal or fruit from a tree...the wood bears the spirit of the tree. Those who take should also give back. Thanks should be offered for the gift bestowed. Hatred and jealousy must be replaced by love, to show jealousy is to show a shallow, and unforgiving spirit. To show love, is to show understanding, and compassion to those who have no understanding. Life should be lived without fear or stress, enjoy all that surrounds you. No matter how dire things seem, life goes on. Rejoice at good health, and learn to accept ill health and poverty as part of life's meaning. Don't use poverty or ill health to gain sympathy or financial reward. Accept the differences between races and cultures, learn from others; their knowledge can only enrich your own life. Accept the shortcomings of others, they may not have the knowledge or understanding you possess. They still live in the shadow of the material world, fearful of failure in the eyes of their peers. No human is superior to another. No matter what rank they hold, they are still human beings, and as such, are your equal. Power and wealth are relative, but neither raises the person from the rank of human. Stripped of such trappings, all are equal. Worship what you believe in, whether a God, or the Spirits of the Land, for your belief enriches your own understanding. Be guided by your intuition, follow your instincts, and accept that you have much to learn. Be honest with yourself and others, for only then will you gain true enlightenment. Retain the knowledge of your forefathers, learn from the wise, and educate the uneducated, for they need your guidance to attain true knowledge. Be true to yourself, don't hide behind the facade of falsehood, be yourself.
