I first heard Dan more than 7 years ago in a little coffeehouse called the Iguana Cafe in North Hollywood, California. Since then, I have had the pleasure of hearing him perform several times. One of the most unforgettable nights, after a long flight back home from Chicago, he drove through a torrential rainstorm (yes, those actually do take place in California!), and performed in the intimate confines of my living room for my birthday to a small group of friends and I. (Thank you, Dan; and thank you, Bri, for arranging that.) *S*
