Since I wasn’t an avid reader of the X before 1990, I didn’t really know the original five
X-Men as a group. This issue was important to me--the way it reflected on how the first
five got along with each other. Scott Summers--Cyclops and Jean Grey
were vacationing in Alaska. After a call from Scott, Ice-Man, Beast, and
Archangel came for a visit. And it wasn’t just this reunion that kept me reading, it was also Bachalo’s artwork--very mature and very cartoonish at the same time. | |
