This section is for what the old "Rocky and Bullwinkle
Show" called fractured fairy tales - classic fairy tales, legends, myths,
children's stories, and the like, but with something "lost in the translation."
Most of what appears here will be in a narrative format rather than as
a script. However, that does not mean it could never be used for television.
Like the original Rocky and Bullwinkle, these could be produced as cartoons
or as series of cartoon stills with the story read by a narrator. Remember
Edward Everett Horton's narrations in the original. [Yes, I know I'm dating
myself.]
For those of you with the competence and interest to
produce illustrative art work, here is an opportunity to display your work.
Pick a fractured tale below. Produce and submit a set of four to ten illustrations
(depending on the story length) and send them to me. I will post them (with
your copyright) within the story they serve. Animated AVI files are also
welcome if they match a story here.
Oh, by the way, I do know the original brothers spelled their name Grimm.
