I ask questions of myself
Into thin air these and other questions vanish
Searching for answers to my inner being.
Who am I really?
What do I want?
Do I serve some purpose on earth?
Where am I going and why?
While I wait in limbo and often despair.
The search for me a never-ending heartache
I cry and wonder at my own persistence,
While praying for an end to the torture
And peace for my restless soul.
