RetroMUD - My first MUD. I don't enjoy it like I used to, but
it stills holds a place in my heart. And it's pretty fun, if you like
treadmill games.
CthulhuMUD - My go-to game
when my latest time-sucks are down or just lose their shine. Lots
of things to see and do, and one of the only pure-Mythos MUDs in existance.
Awake 2062 -
I guess this is a close as you can come to playing ShadowRun without
$500 in books and actual people to come over to your house. It's my
main obsession at the moment.
Iron Realms Entertainment
- Home corp of several of the biggest MUDs on the Net. I've only
ever played Achaea, and only for a short while, but their worlds are
interesting places to explore.
Home of the Underdogs - "abandonware" fansite.
AL Client - pretty decent
MUD client, on it's way to giving the big names a run for their money,
and blessed with an extremely small footprint. Updated regularly with
new features and bug corrections. Primarily suffers from a somewhat
limited mapping feature.
FireClient - My primary MUD
client. Lacks a mapping feature and updated about as often as Haley's
comet shows up, but it does have a built-in MP3 player.
