Here are some pics of the process of attaching beadwork to a brass bracelet blank. This first thing I do is cut a rectangle of nice soft leather that I fit to the bottom of the blank, making sure I have about a quarter inch overlap to fold up to the top of the blank. I glue the leather to the bottom of the blank, and fold up the excess to the top of the blank. In many cases, I'll cut out a little triangle of leather at the end areas to ease the leather over to the top without bulges. Then I cut a strip of leather to cover the bare top of the blank. Then it's just a matter of sewing the beadwork to the leather, and I usually add one or two beads along the edges, corresponding with the pattern of the beadwork.
