I was excited to get my new ImageClub catalog not only because of the great clipart packages, but because sometimes there are some helpful articles.
We have all created a document which looked great on screen and when the type is printed looks worse than a dot matrix printout. You know what I mean by shaggy type. Look at these two examples:

The most important tip to remember since the advent of computers is that what you see is not what you get. The difference in the clean type you see on pages is that they have been engineered, or designed by professionels in order to give them the proper legibility and look on your page. As Robin points out just pressing the bold smart key in MSWord is going to add emphasis to the article on screen. - You must go to the system folder and verify that you indeed have this specified style for the font (i.e. Helvetica bold) in your system to print.
- Obviously almost everyone has Helvetica, which prints perfect in most cases, but when you are offered 500 fonts for $24.99 pay attention!
- They look great on the screen, as display, but don't try writing a full page in these undeveloped, or unreadable types.
If you think this is boring Read This!
