This is the third day in a row here. That's the best that I've ever done. This having hope shit is good for me! As long as I don't get religion... I got in a fracas with a neighbor today. First time that I've got my adreneline going in a long time. He's got two big old hounds that he lets run loose and they come over to my yard and take a shit and dig holes. Well I keep a BB gun to shoot at the blue jays with by the door and I shot one of his hounds today just trying to keep it out of my yard. Anyway he sees me shoot his dog and it runs yelping towards home just like it ought to. He's all pissed off saying I could've put the dogs eye out or something and he tries to take the BB gun away from me. We had a standoff when he realized that wasn't going to happen without a fight. He said his lawyer would get ahold of me and I laughed at him and said Fine with me! We don't have a leash law around here but a man is still responsible for what his dog does and where he takes a shit. My daughter visited me today by herself and we had a nice time. She came out for lunch and the lady fixed us some sandwichs and we just had a real nice conversation. Even though she is a spoiled brat I know that she loves me. We get along real good when her mother and her kids aren't here, like we can really pay attention to each other. She's not really all that spoiled either, just more like confused most of the time. Nobody has ever really given her any advice, just criticism when she screwed up. Well, I did, I told her not to marry that jerk but I didn't really tell her why. She wouldn't have listened to me on that one anyway. The confrontation with my neighbor really got me going. I really feel alive again, nothing like a little conflict! I'm just glad that it didn't happen when my daughter was here. Anyway, I think that I'll shoot at his dogs any time they come in the yard. They will probably learn really quick. And I'm too good of a shot even with a BB gun to put an eye out. The BBs just sting them a little. |
