Custom Low Whistles For all those Mickey Spillane wannabes*... Low whistles with a rich, slightly breathy tone, somewhat like a pan pipe or Andean flute. The small finger holes make it easy to play fast tunes, but I particularly like the haunting sound they bring to slow airs. I make custom low whistles in any key from B down to low G. The keys of A and G are most popular. * Sorry! I have not yet perfected a design for a low-D copper pennywhistle, but I am working on it! Here is a photo of several of my whistles for scale. From left to right, they are: Low G, Standard D, High E, and High G.
