The Abominable Snowman

Out from the Himalayas -
the famous mountain range -
came and all-devouring creature
that looked very strange

A large apelike figure
and a face of a human perhaps
long, thick arms
that reach to its knee caps

It comes to attack villagers
and upright on thick legs it ran
a fact or fiction story
of the Abominable Snowman

Pictures of the Moon

The moon has different shapes and colors
different cycles, different glows
sometimes here sometimes gone
but somewhere it always shows

It's a guiding light
a super star
constantly looking
From afar

But when the sun comes up
Where does the moon go?
On its incredible journey
to the other side of the world you know

the reign of the rain

it's still storm clouds
the residents mutter
their minds have been gradually
diluted by water

from skies it falls
for many ‘o day
not taking consideration
of "rain, rain, go away"

liquid hits pavement
slowly rises through the town
calculated at a week
before everyone will drown

then sun comes out
to prevent their fate
but everyone was gone
it came a few days late

If the Seasons Changed Every Day

Wouldn't life be different
if we changed the seasons' way
and instead of that other pattern
it would rotate every day

On Monday our flowers bloom
and it drizzles all day long
Tomorrow it will be hot and humid
if the weatherman's not wrong

Wednesday I'll jump in leaves
while the brisk wind blows
Thursday I'll walk around
with boots on as it snows

I wonder if we asked ‘em
if the seasons would allow
but now that I think about it
the seasons aren't bad now

The Buck Hunter

Waking up at the crack of dawn
opening his eyes with a yawn
eating breakfast and doing dishes
while dreaming of his big game wishes

While in the woods the sun pops in the sky
up walks the first deer, he scopes with his eye
It had no antlers, it must be a doe
he is forced to let it go

He sees a buck
he has to duck
behind the stone walls
he shoots, the deer falls

He puts the deer in the back of the truck
Maybe next year the deer will have better luck
again the deer loose another member
on the opening day, the beginning of December

Morning

My eyes slowly open
the first thing I hear
is the noisy alarm
buzzing in my ear

I turn it off
sit up in the cot
still undecided if
I'm awake or not

I take my first steps
and then a few more
I feel a pain in my forehead
I just walked into a door

Half awake
almost dead
I can't right poems now
I'm going back to bed

The Day of the Rain

The day of the rain
I went insane
I was stuck inside
How would I abide?

It did not go away
it stayed the whole day
Then the lightning flashed
and the thunder crashed

But when I woke up the next day
to my dismay
the rain went away
and the sun was here to stay

The Final Quake

They've had them before
it was no strange sight
so when it struck
they slept through the night

But this one was different
and the buildings started to shake
now the people live in fear
for some knew this was the final quake

The city drifted into the ocean
and it started to go down
the people who had made it this far
had no choice but to drown
