god and stickman

Yes, that's me there up above... the one and only, J. Nicholas Deibel. No, I'm not really some faceless childhood doodle with a top hat permanently cemented to my cranium, but I do often feel that way.

I'm one of those people few get to meet but always seem to remember. Described as odd, genius, mad, and perhaps dangerous, I create my own world. An eclectic mind of strange facts and even more bizarre humor, I have made my own strange claim on the web.

In life and on paper, I do my best to be honest. I don't concede much when I write and tend to offend at times, even myself. However, if you pen honest thoughts long enough, you soon realize people stop and actually read and listen. For eleven months, I ran a nearly-daily mailing list where I wrote my thought(s) for the day. Known as Diogenes, this list was an interest to many. I've archived it all here as well as other writings of mine.

So come and look around. Enjoy. Learn, explore, agree, or attack. Always think. And please, if some nuance of a word or punctuation catches your eye, get it back. I will not be held responsible for you losing an eyeball on my site.

As parting advice (which is the best kind since people always listen to it or not) here is a random quote generator. You can get a new quote by hitting the reload button, which will also help push my counter up... so click away!
