one is perhaps reminded that due to entropy, the universe itself will die a heat death and merge like paints on a palette into an unknowable something that resembles brown as eventually all becomes chaos.
although the cat also symbolises as it plays with the slinky, that as one game ends perhaps another is about to begin.
