| Long Live The Computer! |
Installing Linux was a snap. Yeah, right, and my real name is Bill Gates. I had an ancient version of linux, on cd. Only, once I'd rebooted into linux, I couldn't see my cd-rom drive. That's ok, I thought, I'll just put the files on my dos drive. After all, linux can see and read that fine. Maybe. I have tons of bad block on that drive now. Ok, I thought, I'll get the latest and greatest version of Linux, download it at work, and copy it to disk and reinstall it that way. That took two days. Then I installed linux, and got it working. Finally. With lots of bad block on the now-linux drive. Windows is gone. Hopefully, I saved all the important stuff, and can re-install windows when LadyDawn gets here tomorrow. Knock on wood, or at least plastic and vinyl.
And that is the good news. LadyDawn is coming tomorrow! She'll finally get to meet Azura, we're going to go get the wedding dresses, and all that. I've been trying to get her down here for almost one and a half years, and I finally managed it. On another note, Azura and I got FinalFantasy VII. She really likes it, but I pretty much suck at it at this point. I'll probably do better once I finish with my computer, and have more time to work on it.
