Why use Roseland Pictures for script consulting?

1) Because I'm experienced and trained. If you haven't already done it, check out my resume to see what kind of experience I have in screenwriting and filmmaking. Notice that my degree is specifically in WRITING FOR FILM. Lots of other professional readers didn't even study the field they're working in.

2) Because I'm economical. Agents read scripts, yes, but they only sign ones that are outstanding. Professional readers know this, so they charge $300 and up for good advice. But that still won't guarantee you an agent. I can't guarantee you one either, and I'll only charge you $150 for better advice.

3) Because I'll tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear. Many expensive script services blow smoke at you by saying things like "This is great! And it could be even better if you do this . . . (With "this" having to do with purchasing another one of their products or services.) I'm not trying to sell you anything else, so I have no stake in making it pretty.

What do you get?

After two close reads of your screenplay, I'll provide the following critique:

4-7 pages of detailed analysis of both the strengths and weaknesses of your script. Focusing on several key areas, including:

- Character Development

- Story Structure

- Plot

- Dialogue

- Formatting

I'll give you comments written directly on the script, right at the spot where something is good or needs work. Also, you'll get a 15-minute follow-up phone consultation, with recommendations on the revision process, suggestions on marketing possibilities, and a list of films to watch so you can see how somebody else handled a similar theme.

How do you submit a script?

The fee for a feature length (75-120 pages) screenplay analysis & critique is $150.

Send your script along with a check or money order payable to Eric Player.
